Job Description: 

We are seeking an Analyst who excels in Watch Operations and offers experience in continuous 24/7 support, with a pronounced emphasis on establishing and maintaining connections with various partners across federal, state, and private sectors. A candidate with a telecommunications background and a basic grasp of cybersecurity would be ideal for this position.  In this role, you will be employing various tools concurrently to gain a detailed analytical perspective on specific activities or threats. Your responsibilities will include generating comprehensive reports and formulating recommendations focused on the protection and awareness of critical communications infrastructure. Part of your duties will involve conducting thorough assessments during the analysis process to provide stakeholders with extensive information. This position requires a commitment to be available for extended duty periods, on-call responsibilities, and/or the possibility of being deployed to different locations within the region, especially during emergency activations.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Proficiency in operating within 24/7/365 work environments, including extensive coordination and collaboration with federal, state, and local agencies, utilizing an all-hazard methodology.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks across different platforms, ensuring constant situational awareness of events or tasks relevant to customers and stakeholders.
  • Expertise in research, analysis, and writing, capable of conducting initial assessments on inquiries or events related to the nation's critical communications infrastructure.
  • Fundamental understanding of the National Response Framework, Emergency Support Function -2, and Cybersecurity & Communications Initiatives.
  • Skilled in rapid analysis of communications infrastructure and adept at creating products with the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Potential involvement in meetings and discussions, interfacing with industry or external agencies for notetaking and assessments.

 

Here's what you need:

  • Knowledge of telecommunications, cybersecurity, and IT security.
  • Experience using modeling/simulation tools in conjunction with expertise in commercial telecommunications networks to conduct analyses and produce reports.
  • Ability to assess threats, including those from adversarial countries to critical communications infrastructures and provide detailed technical recommendations and thorough evaluations.
  • Availability for extended duty, on-call, and/or deployment to alternate locations within the region or the continental U.S. as required.

 

Security Clearance:

  • Active TS/SCI security clearance
  • Capability to obtain DHS Suitability and maintain a favorably adjudicated DHS background investigation (EOD) for continued employment.

 

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or 5 years equivalent experience

  • Onsite
