ELMI is developing a roster of facilitators based in Nairobi to design and facilitate events, meetings, and workshops for USAID/Somalia. The ideal candidate will have 10 or more years of experience in facilitation, as well as contextual knowledge and understanding of:
Organizational development
Knowledge management
Understanding of Collaborating, Learning, and Adapting (CLA) principles
Knowledge of international development (especially USAID)
Understanding of USAID program design, implementation, and monitoring
Fluent English skills in reading, writing, listening and speaking
Ability to adapt to client requests and work with a team
Experience with Somali programming is an added advantage
Specific sectoral knowledge within international development is required for certain tasks (such as democracy, stabilization, and governance; economic development; countering violent extremism; agriculture and food security; education and youth etc.), as would be experience in different types of facilitation (such as design, presentation preparation, learning events, facilitating virtually, evidence reviews, or stakeholder consultations).
