Quality Assurance Engineer

Corvallis, Oregon

NaturalPoint is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer for a suite of its software and hardware products. The ideal candidate will be meticulous in creating and executing test plans, developing testing scripts, and interfacing with developers and product managers to resolve software and hardware defects. If you excel technically, have a history of strong software/hardware testing or development, we would like to hear from you.

Core Responsibilities:

• Support development teams and product managers by authoring and executing thorough test plans.

• Continually drive efforts to automate testing.

• Author clear defect tickets that fully describe steps to reproduce issues and how to test for a passing condition.

• Provide occasional insight to sales and support staff on technically challenging questions.

Desired Skills and Experience:

• 2+ years Experience forming test plans, organizing test equipment and processes, and tracking defects through a ticket tracking system.

• Proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language (Python, C++, JavaScript, etc.)

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Strong team player, possessing the willingness to seek feedback, adopt NaturalPoint practices, and continuously learn, evolve and improve.

Bonus Points For:

• Proficiency specifically with Python and/or C++.

• Previous experience with motion capture hardware and software.

• Familiarity with issue tracking and source revision systems.

• Hardware and/or software design or development experience.
