We are recruiting for a Business Process Reengineer to provide healthcare Business Process Improvements and Re/Engineering for enterprise-wide healthcare processes and application systems supporting a federal government agency. Qualified candidates will have experience working within a large-scale healthcare systems environment. Experience with federal healthcare systems (DOD or Veterans Health) is preferred.
 
Job Type: This is a full-time/W2 position working as a direct hire to our client. 
Location: On-site in Washington DC 
Travel: Anticipated to be 1-2 weeks each month (up to 5 days each trip)
Relocation: Relo support may be available as part of compensation
 
Role and responsibilities include:
  • Support business process reengineering, business process improvement, business process management, change management and transition, and executive support
  • Manage and support analysis, design, development, and implementation of diverse, enterprise-wide healthcare processes and application systems
  • Provide innovative approaches to healthcare programs to ensure successful transformational efforts
  • Conduct studies in support of system redesign and business process reengineering (BPR)
  • Improve and manage business processes
  • Define process narratives and documenting workflow
  • Develop implementation plans
  • Support the design study process for implementing and sustaining improvements 
  • Gather and define business application requirements
  • Write detailed business and system design requirements
  • Attend BPR meetings to facilitate and present findings
Requirements include:
  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Ability to obtain Public Trust level access
  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • 6+ years of related experience with business process engineering/business process reengineering
  • Experience supporting high reliability in a large complex healthcare organization
  • Experience with design study processes
  • Experience implementing process modernization, improvement through analysis, reengineering methodologies, and best practice principles
  • Experience evaluating procedures and processes against strategic plans to support process improvement efforts
  • Experience with health systems preferably in a government setting (DHA, VA, VHA)
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency working across the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with data analysis is preferred
