We are recruiting for a CyberSecurity Systems Engineer to support a federal government program. This is a high visibility opportunity to work directly with government stakeholders. Excellent communication skills and experience working in a high profile role designinig, engineering, and implementing security architecture and providing briefs to government personnel is required.

Location: On-Site Support Only
Security Clearance: Must hold a current TS/SCI; CI poly (current or eligible to take a poly)

Role and responsibilities include:

  • Work in coordination with CIO organization supporting activities for service-oriented architecture (SOA) and service-centric architecture (SCA)
  • Perform security architecture tasks including docuementation throughout the acquisition lifecycle
  • Ensure that acquired systems and developed systems align with organizational guildelines
  • Perform security reviews, develop a security risk management plan, and identify gaps in security architecture
  • Evaluate security architecture and designs to allocate security services
  • Support development of activity reports and briefing requests
  • Serve as planner and lead on projects, as assigned
  • Other duties, as assigned

Requirements include:

  • U.S. citizenship
  • Current TS/SCI security clearance
  • Current CI poly or ability to obtain CI poly
  • Bachelor's degree + 8 years of related cybersecurity experience OR 11+ years of related experience in lieu of a degree
  • Experience with physical, virtualized or cloud computing
  • Experience with process improvement and continuous service
  • Experience with modern data analysis relevant to security data and information (Python, scripting) is preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to excel in a blended government and contractor environment
  • Experience developing and delivering technical informational and decision briefs to stakeholders
  • Current certification to meet DoD 8570 IASAE requirement 
  • Industry certifications for enterprise network provider (Cisco, GIAC) are preferred
  • Availabilty to work on-site in Springfield, VA
