We are currently in search of a Senior Project Manager - Mechanical for our New Construction-Mechanical team in Seattle. We are looking for someone who enjoys working on complex multi-million dollar projects, managing and mentoring team members, building client relationships, developing and managing project plans, schedules, and scopes of work. You're great at:

Project Management

As a Senior Project Manager, you will be tasked with leading projects from initiation to closeout. This position will oversee the scheduling and coordination of internal and external resources for project completion. You will maintain the cost of issue logs, coordinate implantation handoffs between internal departments, and oversee job start and project closeout materials. Communication is key in this position as you will be the primary contact for our customers as well as the on-site team leader for our internal team. You will facilitate communication internally between the project team and other departments. You will also help identify, qualify and funnel potential new opportunities to our department leadership team. To be successful in this position, you must have a strong sense of ownership, be a strong team leader and mentor and be technically proficient.

Project Controls

As a Senior Project Manager, it is expected you will assume financial responsibility for projects including accurate, timely, and relevant cost and revenue reporting to stakeholders. You will be expected to identify and quantify project financial risks and opportunities and work with department leadership to manage these. This also includes facilitating invoice payments from clients and to subcontractors, reviewing and approving subcontractor billing, and responsibility for the preparation of monthly project accounting review. You will be tasked with drafting and/or overseeing subcontractor and purchase agreements. In addition, maintain positive working relationships with building owners, contractors, consultants, and vendors.  

Team Management

As a Senior Project Manager, you will be working closely with a dynamic team, with opportunities for coaching and mentoring project team members. You will be tasked with developing project staffing plans to include labor and subcontractors and will be responsible for the forecasting of project management labor requirements.

 

What we would like to see from you:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Engineering or equivalent work experience required.
  • Eight (8) years of experience in project management, engineering, or construction
  • Proficient with scheduling software: Microsoft Project, Primavera, and/or Suretrak preferred  
  • Knowledge of the basics of labor relations including union contract requirements
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook and required
  • Proficient with construction financial programs and software preferred
