WWTP MAINTENANCE INSTRUMENTATION AND ELECTRICIAN TECH. I/II/III

Salary Range $50,752.00 - $91,665.60

Under general supervision of the WWTP Instrumentation Controls Crew Leader, performs master level technical work with specialized duties in the maintenance and repair of Industrial Control, Instrumentation, and Electrical Systems, and associated equipment for the wastewater treatment plant and remote pump station facilities. Responsible for the maintenance, repair, and installation of complex electrical equipment related to plant and pump station process equipment (e.g. motors, circuits, transformers, electrical panels, switches, relays, lighting, control cabinets) up to and including 3 phase 480 volts. Responsible for the installation, repair, and/or modification of Variable Frequency Drives and PLCs and their related components. Maintains calibration schedule for process instruments and vibration analysis on rotating equipment. Responsible for the accuracy, reliability, and performance of all SCADA (multiple platforms), electronic, and electrical systems.  Builds, installs or modifies new and existing electronic and SCADA equipment, plans and implements preventive maintenance programs, and the generation of historical and related documentation.  Will also design, implement and maintain complete maintenance record systems; maintain electronic and electrical inventories; prepare program reports; monitor work of outside contractors to assure adherence to local laws and codes. Maintains 24-hour emergency on-call status and participates in a rotating standby program, performs other duties as required. Applications accepted until filled.

Hiring Range- Tech. I   $50,752 - 64,708.80

Hiring Range- Tech. II $54,787.20 - 69,825.60

Hiring Range- Tech. III $59,155.20-$75,420.80

PREFERRED:

  • Possession of NC Limited/Unlimited Electrical Contractor License highly desirable. 

REQUIRED:

  • AAS Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Industrial Systems, or related field. 
  • Experience:
    • Level I- over one year and up to three years in the industrial electrical/electronic trade.                         
    • Level II- over three years and up to five years in the industrial electrical/electronic trade. 
    • Level III- over five years and up to seven years in the industrial electrical/electronic trade. 
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Typical work schedule is four 10-hour shifts per week.

This is a safety sensitive position and is subject to random drug and alcohol testing.
