Our Chattanooga, TN office is looking for an experienced Vice President of Technology. This position will be based in Chattanooga, TN. The ideal candidate will have technology experience and expertise specific to the construction industry.
Position Summary:
We are looking for someone who not only understands emerging technologies and infrastructure butcan work with our executive team and across our organization to drive EMJ forward in making technology transformationalwithin our business. The VP of Technology is a senior leadership position reporting directly to Executive VP of People and IT. It is a highly visible role that has frequent collaborative interaction with leaders and employees throughout our organization.
Job Responsibilities:
•Working with operations, technology, and executive teams to translate business strategy into technology strategy supported by ROI analysis and strong project management.
•Understanding and developing a comprehensive technology strategy over the next 18-monthperiod, working closely with end-users for effective implementation.
•Providing leadership to operations, construction management, and technology professionals, advancingour use of technology to revolutionize design and delivery processes, constantly and constructively challenging the status quo, and finding ways to integrate EMJ’s various technology stakeholders.
•Understanding both our clients' and our operational needs across the global firm, and leading effective change management to drive innovation, integration, efficiency, and results.
•Developing BIM training plans/vision.
•Having a familiarity with current software challenges between platforms and demonstrating the ability to develop effective workarounds.
•Working across multiple intersecting operations and functions within the firm to implement systems and best practices that balance the need for enterprise consistency with the nuances of particular subsidiaries and their markets.
•Identifying and attracting top talent, mentoring and developing internal talent, and leveraging outside consulting relationships and experience.
•Ensuring operability and performance of existing technology and operating systems, and reducing the risk of technological breaches through sound policy, practice and audit procedures.
Job Requirements:
•A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, business or related technical field.
•A Minimum of 5 years' experience as a senior leader within a professional services organization (AEC industry strongly preferred) with a focus on technology.
•Current knowledge of industry trends and technology with a demonstrated network.
•Demonstrated experience and leadership in managing a team of professionals to meet the strategic business objectives of the firm.
•A proven track record of effectively managing budgets.
•In-depth knowledge of foundational construction management software (knowledgeable but agnostic to best solutions).
•Able to collaborate at a high level utilizing strong relationship management skills that enables engagement with peers, direct and indirect reports.
•A proven track record of building relationships with vendors/suppliers and negotiating pricing contracts.
•A persuasive communicator with demonstrated written, oral, and presentation skills.
