Sovereign is looking for an experienced Change Lead to play a key role in supporting change that will be introduced through the Compass Program which will support the development and implementation of a new policy administration system. The Compass Program is multi-year program that is a critical piece to Sovereign’s 4-year strategy.  The successful candidate will be responsible for the development and coordination of business readiness and change management initiatives. The Change Lead will collaborate with various program team members and stakeholders to ensure change is delivered effectively through the application of consistent methodology and tools.

 

What you’re responsible for:

  • Responsible for the development and execution of the change management and business readiness strategy and plans across the program leveraging consistent framework and methodology.

  • Supports the communication and training within the Compass Program.

  • Identifies the enterprise interconnections as well as the key stakeholder groups that are impacted across multiple change initiatives within the program

  • Facilitate, identify and/or recommend actions and activities to drive faster adoption, greater utilization and higher proficiency on the changes impacting employees in the organization such that business results are achieved.  Reports and communicates status to the sponsor of the change initiative. 

  • Identify gaps in roles and responsibilities to support the required business outcomes and the activities identified to prepare and deploy. 

  • Identifies risks related to implementation anticipating and managing readiness issues and facilitating solutions, in conjunction with impacted teams.

  • Occasional travel will be required to attend meetings or conferences

  • Keyboard and Sitting for Extended Periods

 

To be successful:

  • Has an innovative mind and the ability to influence change, with primary focus on program needs.

  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal to clearly convey messages to a variety of audiences and explore diverse points of view.

  • Must be a team player and able to work collaboratively with and through others and an ability to establish and maintain strong and trusting relationships.

  • Acute business acumen and an understanding of the program goals, guiding principles and benefits. 

  • Has strong analytical and organizational skills.

 

To join our team:

  • 3-5 years of proven change management lead experience.

  • Insurance industry experience preferred, with knowledge of insurance business operations, practices and systems.

  • Has obtained or is working towards a Change management certification (PROSCI Accreditation) would be preferred.

  • Post-secondary degree in business administration or related field, or comparable experience.
