SCOPE OF WORK:

  • The GBV Risk Mitigation Intern will work with the GBV risk mitigation sub-team within CARE’s Humanitarian team. The intern will lead a project to build a training and training participant database and assess GBV risk mitigation capacity building outcomes from 2021-2024 (both CARE and inter-agency).  This internship is well suited to a graduate student looking to work in the humanitarian, development or public policy fields on information management, gender-based violence, public health and/or adult learning. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Online course completion; GBV risk mitigation training database; report on GBV Guidelines risk mitigation training outcomes; report on CARE GBV risk mitigation training outcomes.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Graduate-level student in information management or statistics, public health, public policy, international development, humanitarian action, or related field.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and skills in information management
  • Familiarity with utilizing data analysis programs to deduce trends, outcomes, and learnings.
  • Interest in gender-based violence in humanitarian settings.
  • Ability to manage, synthesize, and organize complex information.
  • Ability to gather data and resources and communicate it effectively.
  • Solid written and oral communication and organizational skills.
  • Work, study, or volunteer experience in the humanitarian system.
  • Ability to work independently and with diverse groups.
  • Ability to work in a small, collaborative team environment.
  • Ability to utilize new information management platforms
  • Attention to detail
