The Kitchen Steward provides support to the Food &  Beverage team by ensuring all cookware, glassware, flatware and dish machines are cleaned and maintained according to Company standards.   

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Responsible for cleaning of cookware, dishware, glassware, flatware, and cleaning and maintenance of the dish machines.
2. Clean and sanitize the cook’s lines in all outlets.
3. Cleans and sanitizes all food storage areas as well as shipping/receiving areas.
4. Disposes of empty cardboard boxes and bales them for recycling.
5. Maintains buffet floors throughout the shift as well as cleans buffet line at closing.
6. Collects and disposes of trash from all outlets.
7. Washes and sanitizes kitchen floor area.
8. Responds to requests for cleaning and/or basic maintenance throughout the kitchen area.
9. Properly and safety utilizes assigned equipment.
10. Adheres to safe and sanitary work habits: must understand and adhere to the safe handling, usage and storage of all chemicals used during the performance of job duties.
11. Adheres to safe and sanitary cleaning procedures according to Company standards and Southern Nevada Health District standards.
12. Maintains a positive and professional demeanor during all interactions with fellow Team Members, Guests and Vendors.
13. Ability to accept performance feedback in a professional manner.
14. Other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Previous experience in a similar casino/hotel kitchen preferred.
