SUMMARY :           

The Human Resources Manager will focus on employee relations, employee engagement, leaves of absence and requires a well-rounded knowledge of all human resources generalist activities and compliance with various state and federal laws. The Human Resources Manager is recognized as a strong strategic support role to the organization.  



  1. Must show proven initiative, a positive attitude, be team-oriented and be highly enthusiastic. Must model the behaviors of our MORE Guest Service Program.
  2. Creates an environment of trust, credibility and cohesiveness through employee engagement, responsiveness, professionalism, and confidentiality. Build and develop relationships and network with peers, managers and employees.
    1. Provide advice and support to Property Leadership with regard to all employee relations issues, developing a relationships as a trusted consultant.
    2. Assist employees and management in the interpretation of the company’s policies, practices and procedures.
    3. Handles matters of employee counseling and discipline and assists in gathering information, advising and counseling of managers and employees.
    4. Ensure adequate and appropriate documentation, maintenance, and management of employee interactions, investigations, and compliance-required documents, audits, and forms.
  3. Maintain current knowledge of property benefit programs and assist the Benefits Department in explaining how benefits work, options, and eligibility to employees.
  4. Administers the FMLA and ADA processes to ensure timelines, compliance and data entry requirements are met. Partners with necessary departments with worker’s compensation Verifies all documentation through meetings with employees and communication, if necessary, with medical providers. Handles proper tracking and reporting of all types of federal and company-approved leaves of absence.
  5. Handles unemployment claims processing and subsequent appeals and hearings. Represents the company in disputing claims.
  6. Monitor legal developments in Equal Employment Opportunity and Labor Relations laws and regulations; communicate legal developments and suggest compliance strategies.
  7. Lead, communicate and facilitate, in partnership, the recognition of employees to ensure company engagement, including monthly employee service celebrations.
  8. Must be able to work a varied schedule as needed.
  9. Other duties as assigned.



Will directly oversee the Human Resources Representative(s) within the department, with duties including interviewing, scheduling, training, coaching and counseling. Will interact with all employees of the Human Resources office on a daily basis as well as other department leaders.

  • Strong knowledge in the Human Resources industry.

  • Must able to handle confidential and sensitive information.
  • Must have professional appearance and demeanor.



  • At least five (5) years of experience in human resources field.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field preferred.



Must be able to effectively communicate in English. Bilingual in Spanish is a strong plus. Excellent oral communication skills to maintain a professional tone, and ability to communicate with people from a wide range of backgrounds.



Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. 



Must have Microsoft Office experience, with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and HR systems.
