Pay Range Details
$81,083.95 - $113,112.11 Annually

JOB SUMMARY:

The Associate Director of Prospect Management will provide leadership and guidance to the fundraising teams in the application of prospect management methodologies and best practices. 

This position will implement moves management policies and procedures to ensure proper movement and donor-centric assignment; and will evaluate and update these as needed.

The Associate Director will participate in and coordinate prospect strategy sessions with relationship managers, and they will also be responsible for developing a set of metrics and reports that will provide analysis and interpretation of portfolio performance and health.

The position reports to the Senior Director of Prospect Management and Research and will work closely with CARE's prospect research, gift processing and reporting teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Prospecting

  • Identify and evaluate individuals as prospective mid-level, major gift or planned giving donors, and ensure that relationship managers have complete and updated portfolios designed to meet their fundraising goals.
  • In collaboration with prospect researcher, review a variety of external resources and internal reports/wealth screens/donor giving data to identify new prospects to CARE, as well as to update information on existing prospects and donors.
  • Recommend moves to other channels as appropriate. This includes preparing and managing data files for wealth screening and prospecting projects.

Donor Moves & Portfolio Management

  • Manage the assignment of prospects / donors to portfolios with the goal of maximizing donor potential, and strategically aligning prospect with the right fundraising channel so that fundraising pipelines are strong. 
  • Conduct 1:1 portfolio review sessions with Relationship Managers which includes preparing materials for each sessions by querying, exporting, and organizing data from the CRM.
  • In these review sessions, provide assistance to fundraisers in evaluating when to let a prospect go or when to move a donor to another channel and assist then with identifying potential areas of interest, possible connections to donors/board members and engagement opportunities

CRM Tracking, Analysis & Reporting

  • Serve as the subject matter expert on CRM prospect management systems.
  • Manage system for tracking conducted prospect research/reviews donor moves in database.  Make recommendations for improvements and ensure a high level of data integrity.
  • Work with CRM team to build and then maintain portfolio dashboards/reports for monitoring progress and effectiveness, and regularly review and analyze these to develop metrics and key performance indicators for portfolio moves/portfolio health.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 5+ years of prospect research, prospect management or fundraising experience with at least one year of supervisory experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • Candidate is required to have experience working with Major Gifts teams and proven skills in producing actionable results for gift officers, including developing reports to analyze portfolio and proposal pipeline performance; Candidate must have good writing and communication skills and ability to interact effectively with front-line fundraisers and executive staff
