JOB SUMMARY:
Advocacy to develop and oversee mobilization of supporters and partners to protect U.S. foreign assistance and advance CARE's specific U.S. policy priorities. The director leads a team responsible for online and offline advocate mobilization. They are also responsible for CARE's strategy for building and maintaining strategic advocacy partnerships, both external and internal to CARE, to build the organization's advocate base and move the needle on policy issues.
They collaborate across the U.S. Advocacy department to manage all aspects of advocacy mobilization and partnerships, including but not limited to: identification of activations and advocate journeys, planning and logistics, recruitment, stakeholder communication, retention, recognition, consultant management, budget tracking and management, etc. They serve on the U.S. Advocacy department's senior leadership team (SLT), through which role they help to shape and manage the team's strategic direction.
