JOB SUMMARY
CARE is seeking an adaptive development program leader for the role of Deputy Country Director - Program (DCD-P) to ensure that CARE Bangladesh's initiatives contribute to CARE's 2030 vision and Country Program strategies. This position requires strategic leadership in program development, implementation, and achieving impact at scale, with a strong managerial focus on maintaining high standards of quality and accountability to significantly reduce poverty and social injustice.
The DCD-P oversees the creation of program strategies tailored to diverse environments, manages a team responsible for program design, funding, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation, and ensures robust systems and skilled personnel are in place for effective management. Collaboration with regional and CARE USA HQ units, as well as other CARE International members, is essential. Emphasizing business development, the DCD-P leads innovative and adaptive program design and development, particularly in women's empowerment, private sector engagement, and social enterprise across various impact groups. As a key member of the Country Office Senior Management Team, the DCD-P supports diverse CO initiatives and maintains strong relationships with government officials, donors, and partners.
