The Opportunity with McKinstry

We are adding a Junior Construction Project Manager to our growing Energy team in Texas.  In this role, you will be responsible for the management of projects, including owning responsibility for the successful execution of project scope, as delivered through various technical resources on the team. This includes setup of project schedule, management of resources, financial projections, processing change orders, management phase codes, client updates and reporting, and project closeout. You will maintain client satisfaction with specific scopes of work. In this role you will have project level client interface. Other responsibilities include:

  • Develop and update project schedules
  • Project management: scope, schedule, resource coordination, quality assurance
  • Internal resource coordination including phase code management
  • Subcontractor coordination
  • Financial projections/reporting
  • Project status communication internal and to clients
  • Review final deliverables to ensure quality and scope requirements
  • Project risk callout (inform project POC of anomalies in burn rates)
  • Other duties as assigned

What You Need to Succeed at McKinstry

  • 2 – 5 years relevant experience
  • Basic financial understanding for projects and project management skills
  • Knowledge of software skills (Planisware)
  • Solid communication written and verbal
  • Knowledge of MS Office (required)
  • Project management experience (required)
  • Working knowledge of SharePoint (desired)
  • Demonstrates an understanding of accounting and financial management (desired)
  • Multi-tasking, organization, and strong attention to detail

The pay range for this position is $76,320 - $116,090 per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Base pay information is based on market location. A bonus may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
