APRN Employee/Occupational Health

Position Responsibilities:

·       Obtains histories and performs physical assessments for pre-employment, return to work, and worker's   compensation patients

·       Ensures all necessary elements are completed appropriately to provide clearance to new hires and employees returning to work

·       Orders laboratory, radiology tests per protocol; orders and dispenses medications per protocol

·       Provides general health counseling as required

·       Participates in pre-employment and reasonable cause drug screening.

·       Prepares and analyzes physician financial reports on an ongoing basis.

·       Supports any Employee Health campaigns (for example, the annual flu vaccine campaign) as needed, including but not necessarily limited to gathering health information and reviewing for medical exemptions

·       Manages employees who have been exposed to a bloodborne or airborne pathogen during the course of their duties, including necessary clinical follow up

·       Communicates effectively with HR (including Workers Comp) and Infection Control about specific patients as well as general policies and protocols

·       Familiar with processes and procedures for Occupational Health contracts and able to provide appropriate care as needed

 

 

Qualifications:

·       APRN Current FL License, Current Basic Life Support - CPR Certification. ACLS preferred.

·       Masters in Nursing.

·       3 years practical experience as a APRN in Employee Health and Occupational Health
