Position Responsibilities
Mount Sinai’s Comprehensive Cancer Center, affiliated with Columbia University, is a nationally recognized, award-winning cancer treatment program that embraces a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach to diagnose and treat nearly every type of cancer in adults.
The only Ivy League-affiliated cancer program in South Florida, our team includes experts in medical oncology, radiation therapy, and surgery. Focused on the needs of each individual patient, our caring team develops a comprehensive treatment plan for each patient that addresses all aspects of their care and recovery.
· The physician will primarily be caring for patients with terminal conditions in the medical center with special emphasis in the cancer patients but not limited to the cancer center. The individual will partner with existing psycho-oncology department, social work, clergy and the different hospice care agencies at the institution.
· Physician will be given an opportunity to participate in research as part of the Columbia NCORE and the affiliation with the NCI designated cooperative groups.
· We are specifically interested in candidates that have the desire to practice Palliative Care throughout Miami-Dade County.
· Qualified candidates should be willing to participate in clinical practice and teaching.
Qualifications
· Board Certified/ Eligible- Palliative Care
· Florida License- required
· Previous experience in Palliative Care- Preferred
· Bilingual English/ Spanish- preferred
