Job Summary
The Transportation Driver-Super Tag is accountable for the safe operation of Graniterock’s Transportation trucks in alignment with Graniterock’s Family Vision, Core Purpose, Core Values, Strategic priorities, and business objectives.
Essential Job Accountabilities
- Comply, understand, and promote safety initiatives to ensure “Safety Before All Else.”
- Operate bulk cement, bottom dump, bulk oil, super tag and transfer trucks in a safe and efficient manner.
- Provide worldclass customer service while serving as the onsite customer contact to respond to customer requests, create solutions and ensure a smooth delivery of products in a timely, safe and effective manner.
- Utilize XBE and Samsara to maintain daily dispatch and vehicle inspection reports. Report deficiency of truck to ensure that each vehicle is safe and well maintained.
- Comply with all DOT and driver safety regulations including driver logs.
- Communicate with dispatch office to ensure safe and efficient deliveries.
Education and Work Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years’ experience operating a Class A truck.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Class A Driver's License (including tanker endorsement-if needed) and clean driving record
- Customer service focused
- Good communication skills
- Communicate effectively in English
- Bi-lingual English/Spanish preferred
- Knowledge of local areas
- Must be able to operate basic electronic devices including smartphones and dispatch apps
- Must be able to work varied shifts including nights and weekends
