First Hawaiian Bank is currently seeking an Associate Portfolio Manager to join our Asset Management team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing taxable and tax-exempt fixed income strategies for institutional and individual clients. The Associate Portfolio Manager Works closely with other portfolio managers in structuring portfolios to meet clients' investment objectives as well as researches and recommends investment ideas in collaboration with the portfolio management team.

The successful candidate will be hired for the level of the position that aligns with their experience.

Work Schedule:

Monday - Friday, 8:00AM - 5:00PM (hours may vary)

Compensation:

The annual pay range for this role is $75,000 - $95,000 /per year; commensurate with experience

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelors degree in finance, business or related field from an accredited university or college; or equivalent work experience required
  • Master's degree in business administration (MBA), or other finance-related graduate degree preferred
  • Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst or similar designations preferred
  • Five years of experience in the investment management industry or a related field required
  • Ability to leverage tools such as Excel and Powerpoint to present complex investment data clearly
  • Effective verbal communication for collaboration with bank stakeholders and relationship managers
  • Possesses attention to detail with excellent follow-through
  • Able to work under pressure with multiple deadlines
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Proficiency in preparing investment commentary and market and portfolio analytics
  • Excellent quantitative and fundamental analytical skills
