Who You Are:
This UI/UX Designer will be successful UI/UX designer who possess strong problem-solving abilities, an eye for detail, and proficiency in design tools and methodologies. Consultant should be able to collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including developers and product managers, to translate user needs and business objectives into elegant and functional design solutions
At the Consultant -level, you will also be expected to independently contribute ideas, recommendations, and solutions toward solving business challenges, construct key components of deliverables/presentations, and contribute to the development of Intellectual Capital (IC) and Marketing Collateral. You will serve as a team leader for individual work streams and acquire a comprehensive understanding of the firm’s expertise, product set, and capabilities. Most importantly, you will embrace our firm’s brand and core values.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
You may work on various projects throughout your career with Excelacom. The roles and responsibilities noted below pertain to the specific role listed above
- Decompose key business problems to identify value areas and structure and implement complex technology solutions for the client.
- Create innovative and differentiated offerings, staying relevant and in sync with market demand and technology evolution.
- Deliver advisory services to Senior Management and above in support of technology-enabled business changes.
- Manage and Deliver technology projects including application development, integration, data migration, testing, etc. for IT organizations.
- Meet with client staff on a daily basis to understand key issues with how they operate today and identify opportunities for improvement in their operations and technology landscape.
- Leveraging Excelacom’s domestic and international assets and expertise to bring new ideas to clients.
- Supporting the development of improved capabilities in clients across business processes, people and technology.
- Developing business cases and implementation roadmaps to support investment decisions.
- Providing project management and change management support on large- or small-scale transformation projects.
- Identify and qualify additional business opportunities
- Prepare solutions and proposals and present to clients
- Develop easy-to-use applications that enhance user experience and seamlessly integrate with client systems and tools.
- Collaborate closely with clients to optimize and customize interactive UI flows, utilizing current UX trends and capabilities.
- Conceptualize and develop a cohesive design ecosystem.
- Demonstrate strong visual and product design skills, showcasing expertise in color, composition, form, and storytelling in every task and project.
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative research to inform requirements and validate design decisions.
- Ensure a consistent and unified user experience across all platforms, utilizing industry-standard methodologies, user research, and style guides.
- Take a leadership role while remaining hands-on, adept at both strategic thinking and practical execution.
- Solve challenges by distilling complex data into actionable findings and objectives.
- Create dynamic prototypes and minimum viable products (MVPs), and implement scalable user testing processes to mitigate design risks early in the engineering phase.
- Maintain design systems and asset libraries in collaboration with the broader Brand, Content, and Design team to uphold visual consistency across products.
- Act as a liaison across multiple teams and disciplines, fostering a collaborative mindset and demonstrating expert communication skills.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Computer Science or related field
- Prior consulting experience –in an agile environment – with a leading strategy firm, consulting practice, or consulting technology firm
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
- Highly collaborative, team-oriented with strong stakeholder management skills
- Ability to lead project working groups and possesses strong facilitation and data gathering skills
- Possess 5+ years of experience in UX interactive design, with a focus on customer-centered workflows
- Have a passion for designing apps that are visually appealing, intuitive, and enhance user productivity
- Demonstrate experience in building applications within telecommunications or media industries
- Proficient in designing and prototyping using tools such as Adobe XD, Sketch, Figma, InVision, and Adobe Creative Suite
- Self-motivated and quick to learn new skills and technologies, with a drive to innovate
- Excellent communication skills, adept at written correspondence, leading discussions, and delivering functional demos
- Familiarity with front-end web application frameworks like AngularJS and ReactJS
- Experience working in large environments using configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, and Puppet
- Skilled in solving diverse UX design challenges
- Knowledge of Express.js and Node.js
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, agile environment
- Familiarity with code versioning tools like GitLab
- Advanced proficiency in wireframing and prototyping tools and methodologies
- Proficient in UX design tools such as Balsamiq, InVision, Axure, Trello, Adobe XD, etc.
- Knowledgeable about HTML5, JavaScript, Node.js, MongoDB, Express.js, and Mongoose library
- Ability to work seamlessly with cross functional teams on delivery
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in Telecommunications, Media, or Cable is highly preferred
- Past success in generating new business with existing clients
- Possess good time management skills
