Role Summary

Manager Supplier Performance proactively leads actions to ensure supplier on-time-delivery performance (OTD) and supplier recovery actions to drive performance improvement at suppliers by identifying complex systemic issues and potential problems throughout the supply chain.     The Manager is responsible for all Delivery Assurance responsibilities to include validation of POs to support demand (Customer Required Dates (CRD) Vs. Supplier Promise Dates (SPD) and verifies alignment. 

The Manager will measure / improve supplier commitments and past dues (PD), verify raw material and work in process in supplier’s ERP network, assess process capability, volume capacity, technology capabilities and supplier lead time. The Manager resolves risk issues by identifying gaps in tooling, capacity and needs, to ensure supplier has stable / accurate demand signals and drives improvements with supplier score cards, metrics and KPI’s.

The Manager is responsible for supporting strategy development and leading implementation of Anuvu’s supplier diversity and development program. The Manager will also support and track compliance goals for the supply chain sustainability program, including Corporate Social Responsibility and Supplier Code of Conduct compliance.

What You'll Be Doing   

Ensure the Anuvu Team delivers on supplier improvement goals and drives rapid functional issue resolution via the following:

  • Clear communication on schedule requirements, shortage identification and expectations
  • Selecting and executing risk mitigation strategies
  • Developing team ownership to drive continuous improvement
  • Assigning and prioritizing project deliverables
  • Removing road blocks for Program/Project Managers, such as:
    • Resolution of commercial issues and coordination of technical issues that arise through facilitation and collaboration with suppliers and other internal functions
    • Quality definitions and support
    • Rapid qualification resolution
    • Contract issues / PO issue resolution
    • Linear / Accurate / Stable Demand signals

Ensuring that the team develops and executes the following:

  • Implements Supplier Recovery / Improvement / standard work, used to develop suppliers to perform at World Class levels by improving process capabilities.
  • Deploy Supplier Recovery / Development advanced tools, which may include any combination of assessments, coaching, training, quality improvements, delivery improvements, capacity improvement, lead-time reductions, LEAN, Six Sigma, incentives and / or cost savings.
  • Interface with all levels of the organization, suppliers, and customers regarding supplier performance and improvement actions and processes and be prepared to report out at executive levels on plans and results.
  • Deploy within the Anuvu supply chain with internal functions or external suppliers for assessment of chronic weak business performance
  • Works collaboratively across complex organizational structures to develop and implement systemic solutions as countermeasures to resolve chronic business performance issues.
  • Leads and / or participate in cross functional project teams driving improvements in OTD, Past Due, Volatility and Linearity at site.
  • Provides critical business analytics for high profile projects.
  • Shows very strong written and oral communication skills to all stakeholders
  • Completes root cause analysis and recommend / implement corrective actions where projected results are below plan.
  • Performs analysis on supplier performance and maintains supplier scorecard ratings.  Schedules Quarterly Business Reviews with top tier suppliers. Up to 75% monthly travel required.

What We’re Looking For   

  • Bachelor's Degree and MBA preferred
  • Six Sigma greenbelt or higher certification and /or Lean Expert certification preferred
  • Prefer 5 years of previous leadership / managerial experience in supply chain, manufacturing operations, change management, materials management, sourcing, or procurement SIOP
  • Prefer managerial experience in 4 of the 5 following areas:
    • Aerospace/Defense Manufacturing/Assembly Operations
    • Quality, Engineering (Design or Manufacturing)
    • Planning (Forecasting, Demand Mgt, Capacity)
    • Program / Project Management
    • Materials / Procurement.
  • The candidate must have the ability to virtually manage delivery priorities with a track record of coming through on commitments.
  • Knowledge of Quality Assurance and practices applicable to the manufacture of aerospace products including regulatory, military, commercial, and industry/customer standards (e.g., ISO9000 and AS9001D) is preferred
  • Supplier development project management experience is a plus
  • Displays strong analytical skills including data query writing and development
  • Excellent Financial Acumen
  • Excellent communications and presentation skills (Verbal and Written)
  • Demonstrated capacity to meet aggressive deadlines while achieving excellent business results
  • Exhibits successful ability with indirect leadership of diverse teams deploying complex processes
  • Established ability to manage multiple complex projects at once
  • Experience working in multicultural environments and with others of diverse backgrounds preferred
  • Professional Certification (i.e. ASQ-CQE/CQA, CPIM, CSCP, PMP) preferred
  • APICS – CPIM / CSCP certifications are ideal
  • ISM – CPSM certification is a plus
