Role Summary

The People Services Specialist provides assistance with and facilitates the human resource processes at all business locations. This role acts as liaison between the human resources function and all other departments. The Human Resources Specialist answers employee questions at a Tier II level in the Shared Service model and escalates issues when necessary. This role provides administrative support to People Services Business Partners as needed including special project support, compliance, drafting of policies, record keeping, file maintenance and HRIS entry.

Location: Santa Ana, CA

Remote Options: Primarily working in the office.

What You’ll Be Doing  

  • Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions
  • Owner of the global onboarding process – liaison between new hire and internal departments
  • Verifies all employment related documentation, including I-9 and ensures that records are kept current
  • Enter and maintains data in HRIS systems and maintains all electronic staff files
  • Provide proactive day-to-day support for People Services Business Partner’s globally in Americas, EMEA and APAC
  • Support Compliance with the development of HR policies
  • Support global People Services team through annual Performance Review and Merit cycle
  • Maintain organizational charts and detailed job descriptions along with salary records
  • Assists with processing of terminations and the creation of separation packages
  • Initiates outplacement program for terminated employees
  • Processes various forms related to documenting human resources activities
  • Assist with various global People Services projects

What We’re Looking For 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field OR 6 years of People Services support experience
  • PHR / APHR preferred
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment preferred
  • Demonstrable knowledge of human resources processes and best practices
  • Solid understanding of labor legislation
  • Highly proficient on Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to details and good time management skills
  • Thorough in communications and follow-ups
  • Excellent organizational skills and multi-tasking abilities
  • Team player
  • Service focused
  • Process orientated
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong ability in using Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
