Role Summary – Senior Marketing Manager – Connectivity, Maritime & Aviation

Global Eagle is the largest lessor of satellites in the industry, which gives us the ability to flex and adapt as our clients’ needs grow and change in the Maritime and Aviation sectors

As Senior Marketing Manager – Connectivity, Maritime and Aviation you will develop the marketing, communication, and launch strategies for products and services within this vertical. As the marketing lead, you will “own” this vertical serving as the go-to marketing strategist for the team, while gaining a deep understanding of customers and their needs so that you can identify business opportunities and the solutions that address them.

You must be highly motivated with outstanding messaging and positioning skills and be really strong at storytelling. You will build and execute the marketing strategy for this vertical, including all product and service messaging while positioning Global Eagle positively against competitors.  As the cross-functional marketing lead, you will develop and execute successful marketing campaigns and product launches that are on time and on budget.

This position is remote, however candidates located in Denver will be given preference. 

What you will be doing 

  • Develop marketing and communications strategies for Connectivity products and services in Maritime and Aviation. For Maritime, this includes yacht, cruise, energy, commercial and government. For Aviation, this includes commercial and private clients.  
  • Communicate the stories and value of our Connectivity products and services to account managers, sales teams, and all coworkers.  
  • Develop consistent and on-brand product messaging and content strategy for marketing campaigns that can be effectively used across teams. This includes sales tools and presentations, collateral, and internal communications. 
  • Develop marketing campaigns, customer communications, and go-to-market strategies by collaborating with marketing channel owners, product teams, and creative services, and using owned, paid and earned media. 
  • Work with product team to define roadmaps, technical needs, and sales funnel/customer journey for products. 
  • Tell customer stories with a focus on business value driven by Global Eagle solutions. 
  • Execute go-to-market plans and act as project owner of complex, large, cross-functional projects. 
  • Bridge product and commercial teams to understand the market opportunity and client behavior through sales insights, market research, and competitive analysis. Bring relevant information to the appropriate product, sales, and leadership teams. 
  • Represent the marketing department by acting as an “agency” for internal departments (your “clients”), providing timely, clear, and concise communication, timelines, and plans.   


  • 7-11 years in a product marketing role or marketing role. 
  • Satellite, telecommunications, or network experience is highly desired but not a must. 
  • Strong strategic problem solver, who can execute daily, but develop strategy for tomorrow. 
  • Fast-paced, self-driven learner. 
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to keep constituents at all levels continuously informed. 
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing marketing strategies for B2B products from inception to launch. 
  • Experience with creating and executing integrated marketing campaigns using owned, earned, and paid media. 
  • Outstanding cross-functional project manager with an “own it” attitude. Can bring together disparate functions to get things done on large-scale, complex projects. Can recognize an opportunity and can execute against it. 
  • Can form cross-functional relationships and influence decisions through communication and data. 
  • Experience working closely with product, commercial, and engineering teams in a fast-paced technology company. 
  • Energized by working in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment, that may require you to pivot quickly (and with a smile!). 
  • Can balance multiple priorities and deliver against timelines.

The anticipated starting salary range for individuals expressing interest in this position is $80,000 - $110,000. Actual compensation will depend on factors such as location, experience, skills, certifications…etc.
