Role summary

We require a Team Lead, Compliance Edit Supervisor to join our vibrant and fast paced Compliance Edit team who provide intensive content screening services and versioning of masters for our clients. Lead a team of Compliance Editors and ensure that the finished product meets the client's expectations both editorially and technically.  This role involves working with departments across the globe including Scheduling to tight deadlines within a fast-paced environment, coordinate staff and ensure they are on track as well as managing all Global Eagle delivery and workflow organization. The ideal candidate should have a passion for content, technically adept, and confidence in communicating both internally and externally, along with a strong work ethic. Must work well both as part of a team and under pressure. Previous experience within a media/ content environment is required. 

What You Will Be Doing

  • Managing workload & monitoring deadlines for a team
  • Manage the performance of the team, including reviews and goal setting
  • Supporting the development of the Compliance Edit department, playing a key part in defining new workflows and best practices
  • Producing KPI and departmental reports
  • Capacity planning of resources; both staff and equipment
  • Responsible for the quality of compliance notes and versions both technically and editorially
  • Producing and maintaining accurate detailed records of correspondence and materials as required
  • With the support of People Services and your line manager complete and conduct interviews for Compliance Edit team
  • Manage induction and training needs for all members of the Compliance Edit Team
  • Produce and update process documents for Compliance Edit team
  • Support other Compliance Edit Supervisors with goals and deadlines
  • Support the Media Operation Manager with issue handling and resolution
  • Communicate and work with clients directly
  • Liaison with all internal departments ensuring quality and on-time delivery
  • Provide editing recommendations and feedback when needed
  • Completing ad hoc projects as required

Education & Experience

  • Experience leading a team would be desirable
  • Experience screening and versioning masters as per guidelines within the airline or Broadcast Industry
  • Experience in understanding of digital video standards
  • Experience of Premiere NLE editing and familiar with an editing shared project environment

  • Expert on EDL creation and versioning within the Global Eagle’s Platform Expert on all client’s content guidelines to enhance the creative and quality of programming by diligent screening and versioning   
  • Basic familiarity of Microsoft Office tools such as Word and Excel are beneficial, as are general PC-based skills and experience
  • Knowledge of additional languages would be an advantag e
