Role Summary

First to second-level contact for customer-facing technical support.  Performs technical troubleshooting as requested by Network Management and other escalation teams.  Troubleshoots customer links, primarily on layers 1-3 of the OSI model, but may occasionally go up to layer 7.  The primary responsibilities are to meet internal MTTR and escalation goals.


Key Responsibilities

  • Proactive network monitoring and reporting of RF (Layer 1) problems
  • Acting upon Network Management requests for remote network changes
  • Respond to phone, email, and chat inquiries from customers
  • Remote level reporting for service quality and system performance
  • Troubleshooting technical issues on VSATs and IP networks
  • Troubleshooting escalated issues to point of external escalation
  • Managing external escalation to resolution
  • Incident management



  • Typing Speed 60 WPM or Higher is Required
  • Four (4) Year Degree with Computer or Electronics Focus
  • English is Required, Bilingual is a Plus
  • Experience in MS Excel and Outlook
  • Minimum of Two (2) Years NOC Experience is Required
  • CCNA and CCNP Beneficial
  • VSAT Installer or Support Background
  • SeaTel, Intellian, or other VSAT Manufacturer Certifications Desired
  • GVF Host-B Required
