Senior LABOR RELATIONS REPRESENTATIVE
We are seeking a Senior Labor Relations Representative (SLRR) for our Field Office in Concord, California.
This position coordinates the work of Labor Relations Representatives (LRRs). S/he provides hands-on assistance in the areas of arbitration, negotiations, and political campaigns. The Senior LRR reports to the Field Director and is responsible for coordinating Field Office activities. The Field Office staff includes 10 to 12 Labor Reps and two administrative employees.

Examples of Duties
Assists Labor Relations Representatives with collective bargaining, arbitrations, unfair labor practice charges, organizing, political campaigns, advocacy
Coordinates and directs political activities for the Field office
Trains new staff
Participates in, leads strategic planning meetings
Develops strategic plans
Coordinates and conducts training for labor reps and members
Prepares reports, charts, graphs
Writes, reviews briefs, presentations and training materials
Delivers presentations and reports at meetings and conferences
Works closely with the Field Director to ensure efficient and timely operations
The ideal candidate should have:
- 3 years’ experience in labor relations, collective bargaining and organizing
- Bachelor 's degree; Master's degree preferred
Specific knowledge and experience in organizing and campaigns; collective bargaining, arbitrations
General knowledge of the Education Code, EERA, PERB, California politics
High initiative, terrific interpersonal skills, a sense of humor, and be efficient and detail-oriented
Any combination of experience and training that would provide the required knowledge and abilities will be considered.
The salary range for the Senior Labor Relations Representative is $79,109 - $115,078. Starting salaries are typically at the first step on our salary range, although consideration may be given for candidates with exceptional qualifications and experience. Additional benefits include 17 paid holidays, 3 weeks’ vacation to start and 5 weeks after 7 years, medical benefits for you and your family, life insurance coverage and a pension plan.
