Position Summary:. This is a great opportunity to work in a respected practice as a Medical Assistant. Successful candidate must maintain a professional image in the office and in all communications. Must be able to multi-task while maintaining good patient and staff relations.

Essential Job Duties: 

  • Responds promptly, professionally, and courteously to needs of patients.

  •  Provides efficient, effective patient care in compliance with clinic policies and procedures, legal and regulatory standards.

  • Facilitates quality patient care under the supervision of the provider.

  • Verifies patient information by interviewing patient, recording medical history, obtaining vitals, confirming purpose of visit.

  •  Maintains clean and orderly exam rooms.

  • Triage phone messages from patients. Reviews messages with physicians and responds as directed in a prompt and courteous manner.

  • Calls results to patients as indicated by physician in a prompt and courteous manner.

  •  Works with insurance companies and pharmacies.

  • Obtains prior authorizations when needed.

  •  Maintains CPR certification.

  •  Attends meetings as required.

  •  Other duties as assigned.

​​​​​​​Qualifications: 

  • Completion of and certification from an accredited Medical Assistant Program.

  • Excellent computer, interpersonal, telephone communications, prioritization and organization skills are necessary.

  • Must be a self-starter, a team player, dependable, friendly and professional.

  • Must be able to multi-task while maintaining good patient and staff relations and providing outstanding customer service.
