Position Summary: Will be working in a busy interventional cardiology and structural heart disease practice with both outpatient and inpatient duties.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Outpatient duties will include but not limited to seeing patients in an ambulatory clinic, rural outreach clinics, following up with patients regarding test results and communicating future plans, placing orders, and possibility of learning outpatient procedures.
  • Inpatient duties will include admitting, consulting, and rounding on admitted patients.
  • Other possibilities may include learning to supervise and interpret stress tests as well as interpret Holter and event monitors.
  • Will be expected to develop proficiency in assessment and management of general cardiology (chest pain, coronary artery disease, palpitations, arrhythmias, heart failure, etc.) as well as follow-up of interventional cardiology procedures including percutaneous coronary interventions as well as structural heart disease.
  • Will be expected to work well in a team environment, be hard working, self-motivated, and dedicated to excellent patient care.

Qualifications:

  • Successful completion of a National Certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
  • Must hold licensure/certification as required by the State of Utah including DEA number.
  • Previous experience in cardiology is preferred but not necessary.
