Position Responsibilities:

• Identifies patients needs, Handles unusual, stressful, complex situations with minimal  supervision. Promotes optimal patient care.            
• Conduct all woundcare and ostomy consultations within 72 hours of order.                                                                               
• Demonstrates efficient and cost effective utilization of supplies (dressings, ointments, cleansers, bandages, etc).      
• Formulates plan of wound care to be implemented and monitored collaboratively by wound care nurse and staff nurse.         
• Demonstrates safe and correct use of  wound care specific equipment.
• Performs dressing changes using aseptic technique.               
• Initiates wound and skin protocol upon identification of actual or potential skin breakdown.   

Qualifications:

• Graduate from an accredited College of Nursing
• Current FL Nursing License
• Current Basic Life Support required
• Woundcare Certification preferred
