The position is based in New York City with a hybrid work schedule, and the salary range is: $88,000 – $105,000. The candidate must have eligibility to work in the U.S. at time of hire.

Vital Strategies is seeking an experienced NetSuite ERP Administrator. This role will be well suited to for someone who wants to learn and grow while providing high-quality support to NetSuite users, engage with key stakeholders helping facilitate the changes required as our organization grows in the US and globally, manage the NetSuite application all while .

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Conduct daily account maintenance and management
  2. Manage technical and system administration, support, including configuration and integration
    1. Develop tests, functional testing, rollout of customizations, custom objects, and system integration based on user/business needs
    2. Maintain, configure, develop, and optimize NetSuite Application including installing enhancements, application updates.
    3. Perform software troubleshooting to isolate, diagnose, and correct issues to ensure optimal system performance
    4. Ensure data interfaces and integration to partner systems are current and accurate.
    5. Monitor end user usage
  3. Reporting:
    1. Conduct data extraction and imports as requested
    2. Provide assistance to the Finance and HR department with data analysis, reporting needs and optimizing the use of NetSuite/Suite People respectively.
    3. Support development of creating Financial Dashboards, Financial Reports and Statutory Reports (990)
    4. Provide financial analysis queries using advanced excel and pivot tables. 
  4. Serve as point of contact to end users and NetSuite Support team
    1. Work with end users to understand root cause of business need and identify the best solution for each need.
    2. Provide user training, user support, and user requests to support system user adoption and satisfaction
  5. Data Management and Integrity
    1. Ensure the quality of account data and perform regular data audits; manage resolution of data integrity issues
    2. Responsible for system security.


Education and degree

  • A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Technology or related field preferred
  • NetSuite certification is a plus

Skills & abilities

  • Technical development and support experience in NetSuite including:
    • Develop workflows, create custom: fields-forms-records
    • Suite script (debugging and development)
    • CSV file exports/imports for data migration and other table creation such as: Journal Entries, Trial balances, vendors, etc.
  • Ability to perform higher level tasks in Excel such as create and manage pivot tables.
  • Demonstrated understanding of financial reporting concepts
  • In-depth knowledge of both the technical and financial aspects of donor and financial reporting systems
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills as this role will be expected to provide a high level of customer service
  • Work with globally diverse teams, understanding and appreciating cultural differences and demonstrating skills that meet the need of clients from a diverse background
  • Ability to juggle multiple stakeholders and remain professional and flexible in high pressure situations
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze user and system problems, recommend solutions and resolve issues
  • Ability to operate successfully in a fast-paced environment that places a strong premium on integrity, excellence, execution and teamwork
  • Commitment to making the end user experience better, both from a design and customer service perspective
  • Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision

Experience required:

  • A minimum of four years’ experience in NetSuite administration

Experience preferred:

  • System implementation and system integration experience strongly preferred

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:

Individual will predominantly be seated and there are no specific travel requirements.
