Mi’kmaq Bursaries
At Nova Scotia Power, we see the diversity of our team as one of our strengths – and something we continue to focus on and celebrate. Our five-year community investment strategy focuses on supporting programs, organizations and initiatives that promote inclusion, equity, and diversity, helping to remove barriers and advance education and driving awareness in our communities.
These four $1000 non-renewable awards are available to Mi’kmaw students. These awards are available to Mi’kmaw students entering any year of a full time post-secondary education program. The recipients will also have the opportunity to receive a 12-week paid internship at Nova Scotia Power. Recipients will be notified to apply for opportunities.
Past recipients that have received an award in the program are eligible to re-apply each year for up to four years while still enrolled in an accredited program.
