The Licensing Solution Specialist plays a critical role in supporting customers and partners on a wide variety of Microsoft Products and Licensing. The Specialist is exposed to broad range of inquiries on various Microsoft topics and understands how the various product licensing use rights and agreements work together to help provide answers on pricing and basic program terms and conditions. The Specialist will be responsible for responding to inquiries on the complete family of Microsoft products. The Specialist will also “own” and manage the clients, and is responsible for updating product information and distributing new internally.   

Duties and Responsibilities: Key responsibilities include but aren’t limited to:  

Licensing Assessments: 

  • Responsible for providing Specialist Licensing support and service to partners/customers.   

  • Drive qualification of Compliance opportunities using Analysis and Licensing knowledge.   

  • Develop accurate, relevant and complete analysis for customers and partners.   

  • Support customer/partner escalations related to Microsoft licensing engagement.   

  • Remain current on LSS Microsoft rules and regulations and be able to provide updates with regards to changes relevant to our processes with customers.   

Requirements:   

  • Bachelor’s degree.   

  • Must have knowledge of Microsoft Licensing programs/Agreements and Products. 

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills required, as well as excellent presentation skills, both internally and customer-facing.   

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working with Microsoft Licensing                                program/agreements/products.   

  • Familiarity with Microsoft volume licensing programs for partners, resellers, and distributors.   

  • Strong analytical, mathematical, and tool skills (Excel, Pivot tables, data manipulation   and transformation).   

  • Must be able to deal with a frequently changing environment, incomplete information, and complex stakeholder structures.   

  • Experience working with Dynamics CRM.   

  • Strong team player.
