POSITION SUMMARY:

LG Electronics is seeking an Environmental Health and Safety Manager to support and manage safety compliance for our remote Direct Mobile Service Technicians located throughout the US as well as all other personnel within the organization. You will be responsible for using safety research to create policies that eliminate workplace hazards, document accidents in the workplace, and investigate the circumstances of an illness or injury to ensure a safe and fully compliant work environment for over 500 remote DMSTs and over 300 other personnel.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop, maintain, and enforce required company policies relating to regulatory compliance with safety, health, environmental laws, codes, regulations, and LG standards.

  • Investigate and report on safety-related damage incidents, employee, and motor vehicle accidents to determine cause and contributing factors.

Develop corrective action plans, ergonomics recommendation and training to minimize work place injuries.

  • Administer required training, drills, recordkeeping, and documentation for OSHA compliance to work place safety.\
  • Must be able to effectively report and communicate safety issues and abatement plans to department management.

Responsible for reviewing incident reports, reporting workers comp injuries, and maintaining OSHA logs in accordance with state and federal law.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Safety, Occupational Safety and Health, or related field required; Master’s degree desirable.
  • Five years of related experience preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of environmental regulations and policies.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in technology and equipment used in environmental inspections.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to travel.
  • Bilingual English/Korean.

Physical Requirements:

  • Physically able to conduct inspections and carry equipment used for inspections.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at a time.
