Centauri is seeking a highly motivated acquisition management professional to support the NRO’s Advanced Systems and Technology (AS&T) Directorate.  AS&T is the research and development (R&D) organization for the NRO and provides innovative technology solutions that enable the NRO to solve the most challenging National security issues.  AS&T is responsible for development and operations of technology demonstrations and operational prototypes that guide revolutionary change in how the NRO conducts intelligence mission.

Responsibilities include:

  • Support and improve cradle-to-grave acquisition activities including identification of the marketplace; drafting acquisition and funding documents; support source selections; and assist the PM and COTRs in program execution.
  • Support all phases of planning, acquisition, execution, and completion of new research and demonstration programs.
  • Support Government technical and contract staff in the development of acquisition strategies to enable program development and implementation in compliance with FAR/NAM regulations and directives.
  • Assist Government technical and contract staff to develop program acquisition packages in accordance with Government acquisition checklists for release to industry partners.
    • Generate contract documents for Government contracting officer review and approval.
    • Identify and capture technical and programmatic requirements.
    • Generate and coordinate common acquisition artifacts such as Statements of Work (SOW), CDRLs, In Scope Determination, Source Selection Plans, and proposal evaluation criteria.
  • Provide acquisition advisory services during technical and cost evaluation of proposals.
  • Support to and ensure compliance with federal budgeting processes and procedures, preparation of budgets and spend plans.  Support Request for Contract Actions (RCAs) and perform financial management input, status, and reports using customer financial tools.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors/Master’s Degree in Business, Management, Economics, Engineering, Operations Research, or Systems Acquisition
  • DAWIA Certification Level 1,2, or Level 3 Program Management or DAWIA Certification Level 1,2, or Level 3 Contracting
  • 10 – 20 years acquisition support experience or 8-14 years with Bachelor’s degree or 5-10 years with Master’s or 2-4 years with PhD
  • Ability to work in fast paced environment with excellent oral and written communication skills.

Desired Qualifications:

  • 5-10 years’ experience with space and ground system development and procurement practices.
  • Understanding of technology innovation and acquisition best practices.
  • Specific knowledge of NRO acquisition management directives and policies
  • Ability to work with teams across multiple disciplines and functional expertise
