The Assistant Boutique Manager supervises the day-to-day store operations and stands as an ambassador of the brand. She plays a vital role in influencing the brand's presence as well as its expansion in the region.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Responsible for merchandising and managing day-to-day operations of the store.
· Leading and driving sales to achieve targets
· Meeting customer service standards
· Supervising stock levels and making key decisions about stock control
· Analysing sales figures and forecasting future sales volumes to maximise profits
· Analysing and interpreting trends to facilitate planning
· Using information technology to record sales figures and for data analysis and forward planning
· Ensures standards for quality, customer service and health and safety are met
· Resolves health and safety, legal and security issues
· Responds to customer complaints and comments
· Organises special promotions, displays and events
· Updates colleagues on business performance, new initiatives and other pertinent issues;
· Maintains awareness of market trends in the retail industry, understanding forthcoming customer initiatives, and monitoring what local competitors are doing
· Initiates changes to improve the business, e.g. revising opening hours to ensure the store can compete effectively in the local and international market
