GVI Inc. is looking for an Engineering Technical Specialist (E3) with demonstrated experience supporting DoD requirements to join our team in Groton, CT! 

Apply your knowledge as a Engineer Technical Specialist to support Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division (NSWCCD) in Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) of Fly-By-Wire (FBW) Ship Control Systems (SCS) for U.S. Navy submarines. 

A week in the life of an Engineer Technical Specialist:

• Review engineering specifications, documents, drawings, and plans,    
• Review system, software, and hardware test procedures.  
• Witness Formal Qualification and System Acceptance Testing at land-based test facilities.
• Validate requirements.    
• Audits of computer software units. 

Job Requirements:

• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in an Engineering discipline. 
• At least 5+ years of experience in computer programming
• Desired experience: Familiarity with US Navy submarine Ship Control Systems (SCS).
• Active Secret security clearance or the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.
