The Safety Coordinator is responsible for executing safety initiatives, reporting, and training at the plant in support of corporate goals and OSHA guidelines. This individual will assist in the execution of identified best practices at the plant related to safety plans, accident prevention and management, training, inspections, reporting, and employee engagement in safety initiatives.
This role is located in our Lavonia, GA plant.
Primary Responsibilities:
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree (Safety, Engineering, or Environmental Health/Science preferred).
3+ years’ experience in a safety role (or relatable field).
Strong working knowledge of general safety protocols and behaviors (OSHA 30 certification preferred).
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Excellent planning and organizational abilities.
High energy and ability to multi-task.
Assertive and persuasive abilities.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Reliability and initiative to be able to work effectively in a fast-paced, professional team environment.
Willingness to travel as needed.
