NVR is seeking an Experienced Cybersecurity Manager specializing in Red Team and Security Engineering to join our team on-site at our Reston, VA headquarters.

As an experienced cybersecurity manager, you will have the ability to shape the team and service offerings based on your experience and best practices. You will have the opportunity to stand-up the red team and threat hunting capabilities, refine vulnerability management program, and focus on remediation of the most urgent threats to the organization.
Primary Responsibilities
- Establish an information security Red Team testing program to include hiring and developing staff, conducting simulated attacks, and reporting findings and recommendations to senior IT leadership (CIO, CISO)
- Ensure key security controls are properly documented and periodically evaluated
- Represent the cybersecurity team in high profile technology governance processes
- Lead the cybersecurity engineering team, consulting with IT and business leaders, to ensure that security is factored into the evaluation, selection, installation, and configuration of IT solutions
- Oversee the day-to-day activities of threat and vulnerability management, identify risk tolerances, recommend treatment plans, and communicate information about residual risk
- Manage a team of information security professionals, hire and train new staff
- Prepare management reports on departmental activities, tasks, and key metrics
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in IT
- 5+ years in an Information Security or Red Team position
- 2+ years in a supervisory role
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of information risk concepts and principles as a means of relating business needs to security controls; an excellent understanding of information security concepts, protocols, industry best practices and strategies
- Significant experience directly managing technical teams
- Skilled at defining technical solutions and ensuring they are effectively implemented
- Excellent judgement and analytical skills with the ability to regularly prioritize tasks based on risks
- Highly autonomous and detail oriented
- Able to build relationships and collaborate with cross-functional team members
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in information systems or equivalent work experience; M.B.A. or M.S. in information security is preferred
