As a PM you will be responsible for planning, coordinating and administering federal projects. You’ll lead projects by effective, skilled project management techniques to enhance the design solutions, leverage project delivering costs, and add value to the firm.  You’ll play a critical role in creating long-term client relationships, engaging team members on projects, and partnering with talented resources throughout IA. 

Job Responsibilities

  • Manages overall client relationship from initial assessment of client needs, through design concept presentations and final delivery of project.  Ensure positive relationships resulting in additional business or referred work
  • Determine, monitor and manage: financial project metrics, schedules and staffing requirements for each project.
  • Develop the project proposal fees and scope by coordination with discipline directors and design leads for specific budget and scope definition to then lead in fee negotiations with the client. 
  • Serve as the primary point of contact with the client from beginning to end
  • Facilitate the creation of communication plans, ensuring that appropriate information is exchanged among key stakeholders, and conduct status review meetings among project team members and clients through project execution

Education, Work Experience, and Leadership

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design or Architecture
  • 8+ years experience producing commercial interior design projects, preferably in Federal and/or DOD markets 
  • US Citizenship
  • Active Top Secret security clearance
  • Registered Architect (RA) is preferred; Project Management Institute (PMI) Certification will be considered

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Demonstrated design and project management experience within Federal and/or DOD markets 
  • Proven ability to prioritize and manage diverse responsibilities within allotted time and/or budget.
  • Proven ability to manage all project phases.
  • Proven supervisory, leadership and team building skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of design principles and aesthetics
