OBJECTIVE AND MAIN TASK OF THE FUNCTION

 

In this position the Operation Warehouse Scheduler is responsible to support pre/post Oracle Go-Live warehouse functions related to:

·        Prepare daily workload plan for Warehouse Operations and update required KPI’s

·        Ensure on time release of workload and monitor release of workload (scheduled pick waves) according to business rules

·        Monitor warehouse operation progresses and ensure on-time departure of orders according to the shipping schedule

·        Communicate in a proactive and efficient way at all levels internally with other departments

 

TASKS

·        Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly workload schedules for all regions distributed from our Brügg Distribution Center

·        Release picking waves from ERP system for warehouse operationsCompare actual workload to the resource plan and proactively alert warehouse lead for any uncovered workload

·        Evaluate urgent shipment requests based on warehouse workload and answer to requestorsPrepare warehouse orders based on daily business priorities  in collaboration with warehouse leads or designee

·        Monitor planned versus realized performance, report variances and support root cause analysis

·        Provide visibility on pipeline shipments to Warehouse and IMEX Lead on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.

·        Collaborate with key stakeholder of IMEX, CS and Warehouse teams to facilitate shipment schedule

·        Prepare and review outbound shipping  calendars in collaboration with IMEX and Customer Service teams

·        Collaborate to update monthly KPI and ensure accurate communication of figures

·        Ensure compliance of Warehouse QMS documentation

·        Other responsibilities as assigned by supervisor

 

 

REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS

 

Education:                                     Completed apprenticeship (EFZ, CFC) in a technical or industry is preferred

Further education in supply chain operations is a plus

 

Special Knowledge:                      Very good English and French or German skills (spoken and written),

Strong IT skills (ERP, Diverse Ship Software, Microsoft Office tools, focus on Excel)

 

Personality:                                   Solution oriented, performance driven and self-starter, “can-do” attitude to solve problems using previous experience

Good team player enjoying working in a diverse team of various backgrounds

Ability to work under pressure and communicate in a proactive, clear and concise manner, both verbally and in writing.

Active, energetic, and decisive person, coordinate multiple priorities without losing details

 

Professional Experience:              3 years’ experience in logistics environment or within a similar field is preferred

                                                      Previous shipping/receiving/supply chain experience is needed
Previous experience in and an international environment is a plus
