- Responsible for managing general accounting functions covering STAAR Surgical AG and its foreign branches and affiliates
- Manage, guide team in post go-live, adoption phase of Company’s new Oracle ERP and lead/contribute to subsequent update cycles
- Own OTC, PTP cycles from a finance perspective, working closely with local procurement and customer service departments as well as the sales organization to optimize working capital
- Manage the month-end closing process as far as accounts receivable, accounts payable, accruals, and cash are concerned
- Review critical workbooks, journal entries and account reconciliations, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and relevance of accounting records
- Work with external and internal auditors, coordinating related activities internally
- Ensure controls over financial reporting are in place and functioning properly in accordance with SOX and local requirements, including maintaining accurate, up-to-date process documentation
- Lead in identification, formulation, and implementation of accounting-related incremental improvements and/or new, changing business intelligence needs to shape the continuous evolution of STAAR’s new Oracle ERP;
- Recruit, train, lead and develop team members; lead new joiner finance training
- Initiate, support continuous improvement efforts and broader finance projects, ensuring compliance with new/changing requirements (e.g. e-billing, HCP reporting)

Education: Degree in Finance / Accounting, certified expert
in financial reporting and controlling, CPA or equivalent
Special Knowledge: Excellent communication in English, proficiency in either
German or French advantageous
Excellent analytical skills
Highly proficient in use of Excel; experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP highly advantageous
Proven expertise in US GAAP/IFRS
Personality: Distinguished ability to work under pressure even in periods of heavy workload and high capacity. Excellent ability to communicate with colleagues, superiors, and external partners.
Professional Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar Finance position and 3 years of supervisory experience, preferably in an international environment
