Job Summary:

This position will manage all facets of Americo’s alternative investment portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Portfolio manager for the Company’s alternative asset portfolio including Fund LP commitments, direct GP or LP investments, GP led co-investments, and control investments.
  • Monitor existing limited partnership and co-investments with third-party managers
  • Originate, diligence and close GP led-investments
  • Cultivate and manage a network of placement agents and originate new limited partnership investments with third-party managers
  • Manage the firm’s existing direct investments and originate new direct investments
  • Interface with internal employees to assist in reporting, tax, and regulatory requirements of the private and alternative equities’ portfolio.

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • 10-20 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, or investment management
  • Demonstrated track record of success in managing alternative investments
  • Ability to manage all phases of an investment including origination, diligence, management of outside legal counsel and negotiation of legal documents, and portfolio monitoring
  • High degree of intellectual aptitude and curiosity coupled with the ability to quickly dissect complex situations and make sound decisions based on available information.

 

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or Graduate level education
  • CFA or CAIA designation
