Operations Support Service Representative - CA

Job Description: 
Effective document management and processing throughout the company begins with the work that is done in Operations Support Service.  Because of the variety of documents that come in, representatives will become familiar with the various operational functions of Americo’s many departments. We are currently looking for a Representative in our Operations Support Service Department. The Representatives in this department have the critical job of supporting all departments at Americo, as well as our Policyholders and Agents by handling all incoming and outgoing correspondence. This role is also responsible for assisting in prioritizing daily work to ensure that service level agreements are met; handling special errands and executive requests timely and accurately. This role can also be a subject matter expert on some projects and assist with all department's special needs. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Open, sort, and deliver incoming mail, process incoming overnight packages
  • Prepare and dispatch outgoing mail, process outgoing overnight packages
  • Prep and scan incoming mail, process and remail returned mail
  • Process associate-generated agent and policy holder correspondence for delivery
  • Print and track outgoing checks to final disposition
  • Process all errand requests


Job Qualifications: 
Individuals interested in the Operations Support Service Representative position must have a combination of good typing skills, education, a professional mindset and a solid work history.  PC skills and typing at least 50 WPM are highly preferred.  We are looking for a detail oriented self-starter, who is also a team player with a strong work ethic.

  • College Education is preferred
  •  Good knowledge of letter generating systems and mail processing equipment
  • Basic knowledge of workflow systems, software applications, and Outlook databases
  • Ability to multi-task and be flexible
  • Ability to recognize when changes or problems occur
  • Ability to handle repetitive work
  • Ability to communicate professionally with all levels of the company
  • Good organizational skills
