We are currently looking for a Mid Level-QA to join our team supporting our Internal Revenue Service (IRS).

 

Mid-Level Quality Assurance Engineer

Location: Remote
Clearance: Active IRS MBI preferred, Public Trust eligible

Role Overview:
As a Mid-Level Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of software products. You will develop and execute test plans, identify defects, and work with development teams to resolve issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Test Execution: Develop and execute test cases, both manual and automated.
  • Defect Documentation: Identify, document, and track defects, ensuring they are resolved.
  • Automation: Create and maintain automated test scripts using tools like Selenium.
  • Collaboration: Work with development teams to understand requirements and develop effective test plans.
  • Performance Testing: Assist in performance testing to ensure software meets performance standards.
  • Reporting: Generate test reports and communicate findings to stakeholders.
  • Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes and practices.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline with 3-5 years of relevant QA experience, or
  • Equivalent experience in QA roles.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with QA tools and automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG).
  • Basic knowledge of performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter).
  • Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
  • Experience with version control systems like Git.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD principles and tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
