Truman Health Service is a NCQA Patient Centered Medical Home which provides the highest level of care and innovative treatment options for New Mexicans living with HIV, requiring gender services or seeking pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP).  We offer a variety of treatment services utilizing a holistic approach towards supporting our patients' medical, pharmacy, and social behavioral and mental health needs.  Truman Health Services offers community engagement and support in education, outreach and testing services.  Truman Health Services is seeking an experienced candidate to join our Truman Health Service Pharmacy Team.

UNM Truman Health Services Pharmacy is seeking a highly energetic, passionate and organized Project Coordinator to assist in developing and implementing Specialty and Retail Pharmacy Operations programs in support of both clinical and business objectives. The successful candidate will assist the Director of Pharmacy in coordinating projects of varying size and scope for assigned Specialty and Retail Pharmacy Operations area. They will support the analysis and assessment of operational and clinical operations to establish and monitor processes, procedures and system related strategies associated with pharmacy operations. The successful candidate's primary responsibility will be to maintain Specialty Pharmacy URAC accreditation, monitoring progress, evaluating success and ensuring compliance.

·The successful candidate will be/become the subject matter expert in maintaining Specialty Pharmacy URAC Accreditation.

·Priority will be provided to candidates who are:

·Experienced working with multiple stakeholders for a common goal(s)

·Experienced working in a community based multi-diciplinary setting.

·Experienced working in a Outpatient/Specialty Pharmacy setting

·Experienced working on URAC Accreditation.

·Experienced with project management experience.

Provide coordination for organizational-wide projects within a multi-faceted environment; support the analysis and assessment of operational and clinical operations; may support basic projects and initiatives; works with staff of all levels in their own work environment, embrace change; work independently, with minimal over-sight.                                                   

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Works with leadership, teammates and stakeholders to coordinate meetings, sessions and events, documents minutes and outcomes, communicates information to project team members.
  2. Assist with the development, maintenance and monitoring of project plans; following up on action items and decisions; developing and updating various types of documentation and reports.
  3. Display and present data/report in a variety of formats.
  4. Researches best practices; analyzes, interprets and assesses various data.
  5. Monitors and records budget expenditures, invoices and contracts for the assigned department.
  6. Provides administrative support to department.
  7. May perform basic project management and training.
  8. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

Minimum Job Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in related field and 1 year related experience. Related education and experience may be substituted for one another on a year for year basis.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a complex, fast pace environment.
  • Strong planning, organizational and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Strong problem solving, analytical, evaluative, and objective critical thinking skills.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint and able to become proficient in other software tools as needed.

Conditions of Employment

  • Must be employment eligible as verified by the U.S. Dept. of Health and Human Services Office of Inspector General (OIG) and the Government Services Administration (GSA).
  • Must pass a pre-employment criminal background check.
  • Fingerprinting, and subsequent clearance, is required.
  • Must provide proof of varicella & MMR immunity or obtain vaccinations within 90 days of employment.
  • Must obtain annual influenza vaccination.
  • If this position is assigned to a clinical area, successful candidate will be required to complete a pre-placement medical evaluation/health screen.  Required N-95 mask fitting, testing, vaccinations to include annual TST, Tdap, and Hepatitis B will be determined based on location and nature of position.

Working Conditions and Physical Effort

  • Must be able to travel by car locally between facilities and within surrounding community.
  • May work some early mornings and/or late evenings to be able to meet with staff and physicians when they are available.
  • Requires handling of average weight objects up to 25 pounds.
  • Must be able to stand or walk for extended periods of time.
