Truman Health Services is a NCQA Patient Centered Medical Home which provides the highest level of care and latest treatment options for New Mexicans living with HIV, requiring gender services or seeking PrEP. We offer a variety of treatment services utilizing a holistic approach towards supporting our patients’ medical, social and mental health needs. Truman Health Services is seeking an experienced candidate to serve as an Ambulatory Patient Service Coordinator.
UNM Truman Health Services is seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic candidate with an overachieving attitude and enhanced work ethic who can coordinate calls and registration while providing superb customer service. Candidate must be an excellent communicator with a desire to be part of a great team.
The following statements are intended to describe, in broad terms, the general functions and responsibility levels characteristic of positions assigned to this classification. Under limited supervision, performs a wide variety of administrative support functions at assigned UNMMG Ambulatory Clinic including but not limited direct service to patients either by phone or in person by scheduling appointments, receptionist duties, verifying demographic and insurance information, obtaining referral and prior authorizations with insurance carriers. Assist with concerns and complaints and serving as a liaison as needed with physicians, other providers and insurance companies.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or GED with at least 2 years of directly related experience acquired working in a medical environment. Verification of education and licensure (if applicable) will be required if selected for hire.
