Position Summary: The Human Resources – Surge Roster Intern, will gain hands-on experience in human resources processes and best practices. The Surge Roster objectives are to provide professionals to work for Relief International’s four sectors of international development - economic opportunity (livelihoods), education, health and WASH along with mainstreaming of protection, and when appropriate, cash transfer programming. It is critical to the mobilization not only of Development Programs but for the immediate mobilization of Emergency Response programs as well. This position will learn about the Development Sectors, and programming approaches as well as the competencies required to qualify for the Surge Roster. The intern will screen resumes and map competencies to current programming across 18+ countries, located in Africa, Middle East and Asia. This internship offers an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in an International NGO. The intern will work closely with the team in Los Angeles, CA and could interact with others across the organization. The HR Intern will learn how an organization approaches and cultivates relationships with individuals and corporations. Students may receive course credit for internships.
