Position Summary:

The Intern would assist the Executive/Administrative Assistant with tasks related to the Executive Office and general office administrative tasks.

Relief International is looking for an intern to start as soon as possible or as desired by the intern. The intern would be unpaid, but RI offers a travel stipend and academic credit, if applicable.

Essential Responsibilities & Duties:

This role is ideal for someone who wishes to gain experience in NGO management and see the “business” side of things.

  • Assist the Executive/Administrative Assistant in tasks such as:
    • Board Outreach
    • Gathering meeting materials
    • Procurement/Logistics
    • Scheduling
    • Travel Arrangements
    • Recording meeting minutes
    • Ordering supplies
    • Office organization
    • Finance and Accounting related matters
    • Keeping track of RI’s legal status in various locations

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • 15-20 hours a week preferred.
  • General knowledge of world affairs and international/intergovernmental institutions
  • Ability and willingness to do handle office support work
  • Work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work independently, as well as part of a team
  • Professional demeanor 
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Knowledge in Access database management preferred
