General Job Overview:

The Aviation Verification and Validation Software Engineer/Analyst will support one or more aspects of V&V Program needs, working under supervision following established procedures, for Aviation and/or other weapons systems, subsystems, and components including, research, design, development, production, and sustainment. The analyst will provide various software and system analysis activities that include test and systems validation, modeling and simulation, requirements analysis, data analysis, and flight/ground test analysis. 

The engineer/analyst will participate in weekly task reviews with senior leadership. The engineer/analyst will perform IV&V analysis of system and software architecture, system and software requirements, software design, source code, and the developer's software integration, interface, formal verification and qualification, systems and software integration, and certification test products. The engineer/analyst will perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detailed trade studies, and requirements allocation and interface definition studies to evaluate compliance of software specifications with customer requirements. The engineer/analyst will conduct software hazard analysis and risk assessment as well as develop independent test plans, cases, procedures, and scripts and performs independent testing of safety-critical and mission-critical software systems to ensure the system perform as required. 

The engineer/analyst should be proficient Microsoft Office and possess strong verbal and written communication skills. 



• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or other software-related engineering program, or related technical field 
• Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance

• Experience with requirements, specifications, and other associated documentation
• Ability to rapidly learn material
• Familiarity with systems engineering, software integration, and verification and validation.
• Link-16/TADIL-J and Interoperability with other DOD systems preferred
• Familiarity with Linux operating systems

Education Requirements:

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree 
• Associate's Degree plus 2 years of experience is equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree
• Two years of Military technical training is equivalent to an Associate’s Degree
• Bachelor's Degree plus two years of experience is equivalent to a Master's Degree.
